Jerome - Muir Woods, CA

jerome was an odd man that I found by the side of the road while traveling on the Panoramic Highway in Central California. He just stood there waiving to the cars as they passed by and on my pass I was intrigued so I turned around, parked it and took some pictures. He was a very nice guy but rambled on about being related to the Governor b/c of his connections with some old movie stars. To him it was only about 4-5 years since the Korean War and he'd gone to speak to the President about improving conditions for the Koreans, only to find that no one was interested and no one was listening to him. They all said he was crazy and, quite obviously, he was since it was 2008 and the Korean war was over 50 years ago. The man carried on for about 15 minutes while I shot pictures of him. It was a mild summer day that day but it was nowhere near cold enough to warrant a sweater, hooded sweatshirt and a parka - which is what he was wearing that day in addition to about 4 different types of hats and the hoodie on his head. Very odd man, but so sweet in his ramblings. I left not really knowing what was going on with him but he obviously had some issues. I did get out of him that he was originally from Brooklyn, which made sense because the accent matched.
